**O.B. or lost ball**

In the event that a player strikes the ball out of bounds, the player will have two options:

1) Hit a provisional ball. The player must indicate their intention to hit a provisional ball at their current location. The player will then receive a stroke and distance penalty. If the player hits a provisional ball, they are choosing option 1.

2) Drop the ball on the fairway as close as possible to the point of entry. The player will incur a two-stroke penalty. For example, if a player hits the ball out of bounds, the ball is subsequently dropped on the fairway, the player now lies 3 and is hitting their 4th shot.

In the event that a ball is lost within the confines of the playing area and is not designated as a hazard, the player will have 2 options

1)Hit a provisional ball. The player must indicate their intention to hit a provisional ball at their current location. The player will then receive a stroke and distance penalty. If the player hits a provisional ball, they are choosing option 1.

2) the player shall incur a two-stroke penalty and subsequently drop a new ball on the fairway in the general vicinity of the lost ball's location. The player is now lying 3 and hitting their 4th shot.

**
DROP ZONES**

Drop zones, if any, will be designated in the local rules of the competition. In the absence of specific local competition rules, the drop would adhere to the official guidelines outlined in the USGA rule book.

**
Scorecard Submission and Review**

All players in the group are required to submit their scorecard with all players scores. Subsequently, all scorecards must be thoroughly reviewed and signed by each player within the group. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in disqualification.

**
Cheating Policy**

Cheating is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated in the Charleston Golf Tour. Any individual caught cheating will face disciplinary action, as determined by the Charleston Golf Tour. There will be no refunds of membership or any other games. A player may also receive fees and reinstatement fees.

**Weather Policy**

Weather conditions are always a consideration. The golf course management will determine if the course is in suitable conditions for play. Charleston Golf Tour will make the final decision based on weather forecasts and will promptly inform all players of their decision. In the event that a tournament round has commenced and all players in each flight have completed thirteen holes, the tournament shall be deemed final. This determination will be based on the final group of the flight. In the event that the flight completes more than 13 holes, the scores will be tallied back to the last hole completed by the flight. In the event of a shotgun start, the scores will include the most holes completed within the flight.

Should an entire flight fail to complete 13 holes, Charleston Golf Tour will reschedule the tournament for a later date. Players will resume play from the tee box of the unfinished hole. All rain delays will not exceed one hour. Credits will not be issued unless the course permits a credit or partial credit. Credits may be calculated as a percentage of holes played. Credit will only be issued after the rescheduled date and upon request made before the rescheduled date.

**Tie-Breaking Playoff**

In the event of a tie at the conclusion of a tournament, a playoff will be conducted to determine the winner. The tied players will tee off from a designated hole, and the player with the lowest score will be declared the winner. If more than two players are tied, the player with the lowest score will advance to the next round, while any player with a higher score will be eliminated.

If there is a tie for the lowest score, the tied players will advance to a second round playoff hole. The players will tee off from a different designated hole or same hole, and the player with the lowest score will be declared the winner. This process will continue until a single winner is determined.
